Description
These symbolic necklaces are inspired by the calligraphy used in Mandaic bowls. Mandaic bowls have strange handwritings, painted in beautiful compositions. They belong to the Mandaeans living in the city Ahvaz, near the river Karoon. Blue and Green color of the beads suggests the significance of water and the circular shapes indicate a battle of good and evil. Mandaic bowls were originally a part of Mendaians’ praying ritual, dug in front of their properties to protect them from evil spirits.
