Gereh

“Gereh” is founded by Bahare Heidarshenas, an outcome of seven years of experiencing in designing and making brass jewelries. The black patterns are created through an etching technique, done completely by bare hands. The designs are inspired mostly by the rich heritage of Persian ornamental motifs and also ancient patterns from all over the world, being changed and combined with the artist's personal impressions in order to reconcile traditional designs to the contemporary taste. The Artist Bahareh Heidarshenas has studied sculpture in the University of Tehran, faculty of Fine Arts, in 2003. In 2010, she founded Gereh Group. For her master thesis in the field of art research in Tehran in 2017, Bahare conducted studies on “Thinking Jewelry: on the way towards the theory of jewelry”, a book published in 2011. This book was a result of six years of discussions and studies in the symposiums held by the gemstone and jewelry design course at Idar-Oberstein, Germany. Gereh products have since been presented in many art-galleries in Tehran and other galleries in other cities in the world such as Rouge Gerenade in Paris.
